The Financial Director service is often a stopgap before companies can afford a full-time in-house Financial Director, c£40k annual salary. Think about your year-end accounts, bookkeeping and VAT. When is best to outsource a Financial Director role?

1. You have set up and are actively using Xero as your standard accounting system.
2. You are using invoice capturing tools such as Hubdoc, Dext or AutoEntry.
3. You want to understand how your business is performing, not just how much tax is due.
4. You have a robust bookkeeping system set up that includes:

• Xero and invoice capturing
• Debt collecting and credit limits
• Staff expenses
• Payroll and timesheets
• Paying suppliers and authorising new suppliers

You’ll have a go-to chartered account to support you with financial issues across the business. Better yet, we’ll be here to take on those mammoth tasks so you don’t have to.

As your outsourced Financial Director, the services would look to include:

1. Monthly/quarterly financial reporting to your Board with advanced use of reporting tools.
2. Cashflow forecasting for the upcoming three months with scenario planning. 12 months cashflow forecasts are then reviewed quarterly.
3. Budgeting for the upcoming three months with scenario planning. Annual budgets are also used for planning.
4. Support with funding and capital-related work.
